What Does It Mean to Be a Saint Thomas Chorister?

Saint Thomas Choir School partners with Professional Children’s School to offer an unparalleled, music-centered education in the heart of Manhattan. The Saint Thomas choristers form a distinct and vibrant cohort within the PCS middle school student body.

Boys in grades 4 through 8 live at the Choir School, immersed in intensive musical training within a supportive, family-style environment. They sing an average of five services per week at Saint Thomas Church as members of the world-renowned Choir of Men and Boys, and take part in the Concerts at Saint Thomas series. This extraordinary experience fosters not only musical excellence, but also deep spiritual formation, teamwork, and lifelong friendships.

A chorister’s typical day includes core academic classes at Professional Children’s School; continued studies at Saint Thomas Choir School in Latin, theology, musical studies, and more; weekly private instrumental and vocal lessons; and plenty of time for sports and recreation.

For boys who love to sing—and families seeking something extraordinary—Saint Thomas Choir School offers a life-changing opportunity. Come see what makes the life of a Saint Thomas Chorister so special. We can’t wait to welcome you.
