Faculty of the Saint Thomas Choir School are recruited and retained because of their sheer dedication to the boys.   

All the full-time faculty and their families live in the school building, as do the headmaster, director of music, two housemothers, and students. Members of the community share meals and outings, bake cookies together, and even read bedtime stories to the younger boys.

Because the teachers live at the school, they come to know the boys as more than students. They see their strengths outside the classroom, recognize their talents in other pursuits, tend to their needs as young people, and help them stretch and grow as individuals.
